Postpg spread and baby toe cheese

You know how I posted a photo early on postpartum in prepg jeans? Turns out they were fat jeans, as I discovered when I tried to find a second pair to take on my trip. Regular pants? Even slightly looserones in olden times wouldn't do up. I think my hips might have spread a bit, since I don't think I have that much belly fat/extra skin going on. Will I ever get back to normal, or must I throw away most of my wardrobe?
And I'm feeling guilty right now that I turned off my alarm at the four hour post feed mark and woke to a disgruntled baby at the 5 hour mark. Oops. Hope I'm not starving my scrawny baby!

ETA: Did you know that you actually have to pay attention to washing between baby toes so that they don't get smelly feet and toe cheese? Gross! Guess I'm a bad mother in more than one way...

Mommy needs the chance to grab a little extra sleep every once in awhile! And I'm with you on the pants...my pre-preggers pants are fitting totally differently (meaning I can't get them on b/c they are too tight in areas I didn't think got bigger, like my thighs). Yuck! Still wearing the maternity pants for now.

Glad I'm not the only one. My thighs are bigger too, but also I think my hip bone structure.

For me it's not so much between the toes, it's the folds of skin behind Kyle's ears that get all stinky. Ewwwww. :S

Re: the Flip camera...when you plug it into your computer, it should automatically detect it and bring up the FlipShare software that you need to edit, email, etc. You can't do too much editing - pretty much just cutting it down and piecing together multiple videos. But it makes sharing it really easy...you can either email it or create your own Flip Channel. And you can save the videos to your computer and then upload to Blogger.

Yes, I optimistically put on a pair of "fat jeans" from prepg days over the weekend and still can't do up the button.

*sigh*

I think my hips spread too and I'm within 5lbs of my prepg weight but obviously, my weight has redistributed and is sitting in different places than before kids.

I wanted to answer your question you left on my blog - this book says you can start as early as 6 weeks post due date (I am not counting from their actual birth date as they were 6 weeks premature) so if K is full term than you can start now. Apparently naps during the day start getting more normalized and regular at the 9-12 week mark so you're probably seeing some patterns already. However, I would recommend that you start when you have a big block of time where you're not expecting to go out and do much at night because you have to be consistent for 1-2 weeks when implementing any sort of new schedule or schedule change. You may want to wait until you get back from your trip unless you think that you have enough time to implement this before you go. However, the travel may screw it up so maybe wait until after. The book is pretty good so you may want to pick it up - Dr. Mark Weissbluth, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child (singleton book for you!). Good luck and I would be interested to hear how you find it once you do it!

I was 125 lbs before my son and only returned to that weight only when my sister died. I have skinny friends who go right back to the body frame they had before. Time will do the trick.

From the belly photos that you published, you have an amazing figure. Though I imagine it must feel a bit helpless to wonder if you've lost that old shape forever...
