4 month doc appointment

Today at 4.5mo, K had her 4mo shots appointment with our family doc. This time around, she weighted 5715g, had a HC of 42.5cm, and was 64cm long. We're not sure we believe the length measurement, but we're pretty darn happy with her weight. She's finally creeping back up the growth curve.
DH went alone with her, since I was unexpectedly working post call. He said the nurses and doc all got him really nervous about the shots, since they were going on and on about how cute she was, and how they didn't want to hurt her and make her cry. And how she was going to scream for a while after the shots. He said she cried for a moment after the bilateral attack, but as soon as he got her snuggled up sitting on his arm as usual and she found her mouth with those trusty old fingers, the crying stopped again immediately.
She had a mild fever of 99.7F this evening and got some tylenol for that. Hopefully she'll have a decent night.
She also impressed them with her on-command behaviour. No sooner had they asked if she smiled, when DH smiled at her and she smiled back. No sooner did they ask about cooing, when she started cooing in response to DH talking to her. Sounds like they had quite the performace going on, DH and K.
Later on in the evening we went out for Japanese with my Dad and stepmom. K was so well-behaved. She sat in her car seat for most of the meal, grinning, smiling, cooing. She enjoyed some steamed pear puree while we ate sushi. Pears work way better than prunes for debunging a baby, let me tell you!

Those horrible shots that babies have to endure. It's good the docs think about the babies or children getting them.
