Three years and counting

As of today, DH and I have been married for three whole years. Time sure is flying by, though since we were together for over 7.5 years before we got married, the marriage is a smaller part of things. Interestingly enough, both of us place more importance on the anniversary of our first date (11th anniversary of that day coming up in late October) than on the anniversary of our wedding day.
It doesn't feel like much has changed over the past 3 years. We've gone through (and are still going through) the agony of infertility and pregnancy loss, but at least DH is finally fully on board with wanting a child. We haven't got any better at saying "I love you" to each other, but as far as we're concerned, actions speak more than words. Doing the dishes, cooking dinner, and snuggling on the couch all count as ways of expressing our love, and surprisingly, that's good enough for me. Which is weird for someone who says "Love you" at the end of every phone conversation with her parents.
I'm sure hoping that by the time this upcoming 4th year of marriage ends, we'll be parents. Only God knows, and only time will tell. It's very hard to be patient though!
